Overview
Tiger Blue is a beautifully crafted, traditional phinisi schooner, designed with adventure and comfort in mind. The 112-ft ship offers enthralling leisure, snorkeling, and diving cruises through the crystal clear waters of eastern Indonesia’s magnificent marine parks and islands. Great for families and friends, she comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests.
Cabins
Tiger Blue Indonesia is home to five air-conditioned cabins in three categories. All have en-suite showers and electric toilets. On the Main Deck, the Master Cabin offers easy access to the boat’s dining and seating areas. This cabin features a king-size bed and windows that allow the natural light to flood in, as well as a daybed. At the front of the Lower Deck there are two Standard Cabins, which are mirror images of each other, equipped with large double beds and spacious en-suite bathrooms.
Located midships on the Lower Deck, the two Superior Cabins are the largest cabins; each is furnished with a daybed that can comfortably accommodate a third guest. The king-size bed can also be split into separate twin beds. The interiors feature intricate tapestries draped over beds and hand-painted fish fixings that honor the marine surroundings.
Life on board
Dining takes place on the generously sized Main Deck, which features a communal dining table complete with sweeping views of the ever-changing landscape. The live-in chef delivers delicious dishes inspired by both Asian and Western cuisine, with food sourced locally where possible. Occasionally, you will be whisked away to a deserted island for a picnic lunch or a beach BBQ while watching the sunset.
On the upper deck, you will find four sun loungers, ideally positioned for soaking up the sunshine and catching the sea breeze. There are additional chill-out areas located on the Main Deck, where you can relax on large day beds with a bestseller in one hand and a co*cktail in the other, while taking in the spectacular vistas. Well-stocked with DVDs, the air-conditioned salon at the stern is a comfy place to watch a movie.
Marine Activities
The boat has kayaks, waterskis, kneeboards, snorkeling gear, and fishing and diving equipment. Hikes can be organized to view the stunning wildlife. Activities include diving lessons and guided dives to explore the vibrant marine life, offering rare opportunities to swim with turtles and manta rays, gentle whale sharks or tiny brightly colored mandarin fish.
Don’t worry if you’re a beginner, the divemaster provides full instruction; the boat will always take you to wherever the conditions are best for the skill level of the divers on board. With two tender boats for independent excursions, the crew is able to cater to a variety of guest experiences simultaneously.
The Team
Tiger Blue’s crew is made up of Indonesians and Europeans: the cruise director / dive master, the captain, a chef and sous-chef, two housekeepers, two engineers and two deckhands. You’ll be sure to notice how everyone works together seamlessly to ensure tiptop service while always being mindful of your comfort and safety.
As the world’s largest archipelago, holding four times more ocean than land, Indonesia is home to some of the best diving destinations in the world. A liveaboard in Indonesia offers a wonderful opportunity for divers and snorkelers to plunge into a kingdom of unparalleled sights and experiences.
